About These Terms
This website, gravelcompass.com, is operated by Sean Paterson, trading as Gravel Compass, based in Cape Town, South Africa (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using this website or buying a product from us, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What We Sell
Gravel Compass sells digital products only — route guides, GPX files, and related downloads. There are no physical goods. Each product is described on its own page. Please read the description and any compatibility notes before you buy.
Pricing and Payment
Prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed securely by Paystack. We do not see or store your card details. We may change prices at any time, but the change will not affect an order you have already paid for.
Delivery of Digital Products
After your payment is confirmed, you receive a download link by email. Delivery is electronic and usually immediate. See our Delivery Policy for full details.
Licence to Use Our Products
When you buy a digital product, you may use it for your own personal, non-commercial riding and planning. You may not resell, redistribute, republish, or share the files publicly without our written permission.
Intellectual Property
All content on this site — text, route guides, photographs, video, graphics, and the Gravel Compass name and logo — belongs to Gravel Compass and is protected by copyright. You may not copy or reuse it without permission.
Route Guides — Ride at Your Own Risk
Our route guides and GPX files are provided for general information and planning only. Road conditions, weather, access rules, and hazards change. You are responsible for your own safety, for riding within your ability, for the condition of your motorcycle, and for obeying all traffic and access laws. Always carry your own navigation and check current conditions before you ride. Gravel Compass is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from your use of a route guide.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Gravel Compass is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or our products. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act or other South African law that cannot be excluded.
